outer banks

I'm here at the OBX. There is a Nor'easter forming now. A few hours ago, I was digging and I found what appeared to be two wooden beams in front of the sand dunes. Does anybody have any idea what this could be?

I found this item in about a foot of water, low tide, Atlantic Ocean, on the Outer Banks of NC. It was found a couple days ago. Not sure exactly what it is. 29 yrs. of beachcombing, my best find.
