04/18/06 Half Dollar Hunting

I got another box of $500 in halves today (all machine wrapped from brinks). The very first roll I opened had a 44S Walker and a 73S proof in it. Talk about a rush right off the bat! But the rush soon faded......

All I got out of everything was that 44S Walker, a 64D Kennedy, and two proofs (73S and 77S).

But with silver constantly going up I have no problem with 2 90%ers. Silver closed at $13.81 today and is over $14 in the world market right now

Nice finds!! I got two boxes today, and ended up with 5 90% (all kennedys), 11 40%, 2 proofs and 1 1974D double die. Cant complain about them numbers.

I didn't get a box this week, I figured I'd hit a bunch of different banks this week and buy what ever they had....I've been to seven banks between yesterday and today, and none of the banks had any halves!! I should have ordered a box!!

I ordered my first $1000 box last Thursday and they said it could be picked up today. What a surprise when I get there and they don't have it. I'm so tired of these 20-something imbeciles who can't perform simple duties!

So I tried $35 in nickels and got very boring results-

Not to be deterred by these inept dummies I went to a different casino and got $100 in halves. Found a 68-D! Woo hoo!

With silver going up and up it's time to ratchet up our searching! Find those halves everyone!!!
