Went on another bank run on Saturday primarily for halves. This time I brought my son to look through the halves between banks so I could cash some in and keep going easier, if necessary.

Once all the small town banks closed (around noon), we stopped at a couple of city branch banks on the way home and cashed in the already looked through halves, in doing so we also picked up a little of everything with the cash I had left(except quarters and dollar coins), as you can see by the first picture below. Note: The rubbermaid type shoebox that apparently made the picture on the right happens to be one of my primary searching tools as it is a portable platform so that I can sit back on the recliner or sofa and search in relative comfort. It also makes it quite easy to flip the coins over, but enough about that... on to the more interesting stuff.

Total half dollars searched:3591 from 136 rolls + $435.50 in loose halves (some not in picture as they were cashed in en route) Note that once again the $460 in halves bought at Wells Fargo turned up zilch.
*************
Half dollars found:
*************
2 - Dateless Walkers (one date ends in a 9 (95% positive) either 1919 or 1939, but can't be sure and the other appears to have an S mintmark (50% sure) but no legible date.
1 - 1951 Franklin
6 - 1967
2 - 1969-D
1 - 2002-D
1 - 1979-D that either was slightly clipped planchet or someone ground it away.
1 - 1960KN Hong Kong One Dollar coin.
Note: Those are my first walkers and my first Franklin ever found. :) :) :)

The box of dimes so far has produced:
1 - 1959 Roosevelt Dime <-- Not in the picture because my son put it in his book already.
1 - 2001-P Canadian Dime
The rolls are sealed in clear plastic so most of the box is yet unopened (opened 2 rolls), but it appears there is nothing else of interest.

*************
2 of the 3 nickel boxes (one yet to be opened) produced:
*************
1 - 1937 buffalo nickel

46 pre-1960 jeffersons including the following:
1 - 1939-S
1 - 1941-S (large mintmark)
1 - 1942-D
1 - 1945-D (War Nickel)
1 - 1946-S
1 - 1948-S
1 - 1950
1 - 1953-S
1 - 1955
1 - 1959

6 Canadian nickels including (listed only for tracking list purposes):
1992, 2006, 2006-P

And another 20 pence coin from England (1983).

*************
2 of the 3 penny boxes (one yet to be opened) produced:
*************
13 wheat pennies including 1930

23 Canadian pennies including (listed mainly for tracking list purposes):
1 - 1932
2 - 1957
1 - 1961
1 - 1970

1 - Bahamas, 1 Cent (1974)

Also found a 1999 $1 Star Note.

All in all a good journey, just wish the walkers had readable dates.... oh well, silver is silver.

Now the only job left, other than opening the remaining boxes is to cash this all in... :P

That HK dollar brings back some memories. When I was in the Navy, Hong Kong was one of my favorite ports. If I remember correctly the HK$ was worth about 12 cents, but that was almost 40 years ago.
