I have a load of copper pipes to scrap @ 4-5 lbs . The problem is they are very dirty and there are some places where they have been soldered . Can I clean it up to get number 1 prices for it or is it worth the effort? Thanks

Cut off any parts that are soldered or have solder on it. Then sell the soldered parts seperately.

At our yards I would just sell it as is. Unless it is really shiny it will still be no.2. The price difference is only 10 cents. Down from 2.90 to 2.80

Do as skeeterd said if you feel like it, with just 4-5 lbs it should not matter much good luck
