10.25 inch long spike. So what is it.

This spike was found on a 1905 house site area where civil war camp relics are located. A railroad is a few hundred yards away, but I have never seen a rr spike like this one. Could it be from huge army tent. Thanks for looking. Sorry for the crummy photo with poor focus.

I think it's an old iron fence topper.

Looks square. Maybe? a taper reamer with square area for wrench?
