Not sure what that last one is. I've found ~2 that are very similar. I assume they're finished tools, but I don't know what they'd be used for.

Perforator from the looks of it. Would have had a similar use as an awl, but likely more of an expedient tool.

Thanks, Twitch and ChargerGuy for your input.

Those first ones are made from some nice stone. What type is it?

i have two guesses
most likely a bit for a bow drill
but could possibly a spoke shave
my 1rst thought is drill a drill

that is nice material and quite a variety

it seems the dakotas and montana have a good supply of colorful material that is nice to work and flake to sharp edges

Three are obsidian and the other is a white chert. Thanks for viewing!

Thanks Steve; I just wasn't sure. I was thinking a drill that was hafted to a stick and used for drilling into wood or bone.

Digger, are those obsidian? Sure nice looking. The larger piece to the left in your 3rd and 4th pics look like the same kind of tool I found today. I posted it. Check my post out if you don't mind, and let me know if they are the same. Rock called the name of it, but I forget.

I have found those things in several sizes. Never really big, but like a big scraper. In fact, I thought they were hafted scrapers. I learn every day that I know nothing. Lol. At least I know it.

Thumbscrapers!

Monkey's uncle. That is a thumb scraper. On my phone screen, I didn't see the ruler. I thought it was larger. Discard what I ask. Lol!

This is the worst looking one of these that I have. In fact, It has been on the dash of my truck for ages. I could not put my hands on my better one of these tonight. I don't know what they are. You say awl? I'm just glad to know I'm not alone picking these up.
