Re: 10" coil for Tiger Shark

I bought the 10 inch and the Clean Sweep coil for my Tiger when I got it. You can't get the Clean Sweep coil for it anymore. The 10" is a definite plus on extra depth and area covered. Because it will see more minerals you sometimes need to turn down the sensitivity pot inside, but only just a might if you are getting some feedback. One of the things many do to mess up their detectors is to turn up the Sens.
You won't know if you need to turn down the sens till you install it where your going to hunt.

If you are able to find a Clean Sweep coil for the Tiger Shark you are in for a treat. It was a mistake for Tesoro to stop making them for the Tiger.

Re: 10" coil for Tiger Shark

Thanks Sandman. I do hunt in salt water and the wet sand area(still want to snorkel with it). I know I get a lot of falsing. When I turn it to salt mode I understand I lose depth. Just wanted to know if I would see any marked improvement in depth if I went to the 10" coil?? Or might I be wasting my time trying to improve the Tiger Shark in a salt water environment? I have plenty of lakes around but it creeps me out with the water moccasins and gators.

Are there any of the clean sweeps for the Tiger Shark to be found??

In the tot lots I do okay with the Tiger Shark. I was thinking of going to the Cibola. Will that gain me any depth over the Tiger Shark??

Thanks again,
