The silver streak dies as we scratched around on a game strip. This fairly new 1000 acre permission has a few game strips/bird covers to try. The No.1 has been done & was where the small low yield Roman Site was. This No.2 Game Strip is on the hill & looked promising, even with no intel.
We only managed 2.5 hrs before the wind & rain drove us off, but we covered the top 50% of it. The lower section looks less promising but will get gridded at some point when we run out of better choices.

2 Scrappies
Tudor Button
Ancient Lead Weight
Broken Saxon Strap-end, which brighten the day a little.

Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!

Congrats on the Saxon strap end! One find can make your day. That Weight isn't shabby too, not an everyday find and shows activity there.

i see some great saves in there!!

Pic 3 bottom middle... toy / top ? ?

Only 1000 acres Crusader? You and Cru'Dad should have tht site wrapped up in a day or two. Hope this site proves exceptionally productive.

Currently most of it is undiggable grass or planted crop. It will take some years to unpick. We are just blindly trying whats available right now.

The bit of the strap end is a nice recovery still.

What do you mean by undiggable grass?

Too hard. No proper rain in nearly a month, rained yesterday & then the grass will shoot up too high.
