I started hunting this fairgrounds about 4 years ago, and it has been a very very sucessfull place to hunt. After 4 years of hunting there i pulled silver #100 from that location, and i never thought there was that many silver coins there. I found 21 with my DFX and the last 79 with the E-trac. The first was a 1914-d barber dime, and the last was a 1920 p mercury dime. I found my first Seated Dime there and my first Standing Liberty Quarter. Ive never dug a Halve, although i seen one dug, (thanks to waseeker) he dug an 1899 barber half there a few years ago. The last month or so I would spend a couple of hours a week digging anything that was descent, and finally i pulled a 1920 P mercury dime and did my little happy dance. Here is the pic and some pics of a few others ive dug there the last 4 years.
The tallies are 100 silver coins, over 4 years, (2) Seated Dimes, (14) Barber Dimes, (1) Barber Quarter, (1) SLQ, (4) Washington Quarters, (49) Mercury Dimes (27) Roosevelt Dimes and (2) War Nickels......
