I had a problem with my 1280 headphones a few years ago.
The side with the cord went bad on me.
I took it apart, found the bad wire, soldered it, put it back together, and it worked fine for another year.
But then it went bad again about a year later, and I couldn't repair it again.
It must have been something else besides a bad wire.
I ended up wiring a set of old panasonic stereo headphones to it!
And they still work perfect today.

The headphones pop open easily.

Thanks for the info King. I haven't been on for a few weeks but will try it out. I currently have a piece of electrical tape holding crossover wire to headphone and is working perfeect so am assuming just a broken wire. HH.
