Hello Everyone,

Instead of posting the 3 silver dimes I found yesterday from the "silver park", which marked my 29th consecutive hunt that I've found silver in the turf with the SE Pro coil, I decided to post all the silver coins I have found at this park so far this year.

This park has far exceeded my expectations, which has produced slightly over 50% of my total silver coin finds this year. Most of the old coins were between 6-10", in very trashy ground (years of pull-tabs, screw-caps, shredded aluminum, nails/iron, and clad). A few of my hunting buddies will definitely attest to this.

I will still continue to press my luck there until I get skunked. If I could give you one bit of advice about turf hunting in parks, it would be to have maximum patience and persistence to be successful. Oh yeah, a top detector with great target separation and extreme depth capabilities is a must for continued success.

Not shown are over 500 wheatbacks, 15 Indian head pennies, a couple V's/buffalos, over 20 pieces of silver jewelry, and over $200 in clad from this amazing park.

Thanks for looking!!
Keep The Passion High!!

HH,

Dan

You have amassed quite a collection of silver Dan, WTG thumbsup
Continued success on your consecutive silver hunts....hope you don't get skunked for a long time!
Gold Nuggets

Thanks, Gold Nuggets!! Good luck to you too!

guess i got to take the 99 south and find ya

The park is secret, AA. Only a few of my buddies know about it. The park's name would spread like wildfire if I mentioned the name or showed anyone else.

Simply amazing! A group of finds like that found in one place in such a short time span is BANNER in my opinion. Just look at that photo it screams banner, even if its multiple finds compiled. You are the icon_king captain!

Thanks, EggBag!! Yeah, I'm surprised myself at the number of old coin finds I've recovered at this park this year. I'm afraid it's going to end sooner than I hope though.

Thats simply amazing that a park could produce so much coinage. Persistence pays of.... WTG Dan

Thanks, CrazyJarHead!! It's a special park. Many md'ers have given up on this park long ago. They didn't want to deal with all the trash in the ground.

Dan the Man, icon_salut

That park has been suuuuuuper kind to you and your SoCal detecting buddies. I have never seen so much wilver come out of just one park in today's detecting industry. nono notworthy Hell, I wonder how many wilvers and Wheats were in that park when it was totally virgin? 500? 1000? You, my good buddy from SoCal, know how to hunt to your maximum level and do so on every single outing. thumbsup

I have no doubt that you will get 150 wilvers...then 200 wilvers...then 250 wilvers out of that park!!! headbang You just have to believe, buddy, and it will happen...and I can guarantee that! icon_salut

Dan, keep on searching with that never-ending SoCal detecting fever! occasion14

Kyle

Thanks, Kyle!! This park had 1000's of wilvers in it back in the 80's. I've only been detecting it well for less than a year now. Keep the passion high, my friend from PA!!

that is simply amazing that so much came from one park!

Thanks, Goes4ever!!! Parks like this are too few and far between today, but they still exist.

Wow!!!

Wow!!!

Wow!!!

Thanks, TreasureFiend!! Good luck to you!!

Way to go Impressive finds.
Dman

Thanks, Colonel Dman!!

Awsome pile of Silver! Wow and Wonderful!

I live right next to a metropark and have found all my silver there- 3 mercs, 5 washingtons, and 11 rosies( snagged a 46' and 54' my last two hunts.) Only been at it since July 12 and started hunting the park late in July. I have a bounty hunter lone star w/ an 8" coil( do plan on upgrading to a much better machine eventually)
but have been thinking of getting a 10" coil in the meantime.

Good luck on your 30th,
HH.

Thanks, BandB1!! If you're finding silver with your BH at that park, I can guarantee you'll find more with an Explorer. Good luck to you!!

Un bo leevable!! You are a true pro with that SE!! icon_king icon_king icon_king

Way to go, Dan!!!![/quote

Thanks, KimsDad!! I really like the SE, especially with the Pro Coil now. It's been treating me very well. I can count on it every time I go out hunting.

Simply the best

Thanks, Bulgarian!! Appreciate the Accolades!! Good luck to you!!

I think it's time you improve your rank Dan - Major Silver seems more appropriate... Grin

Thanks, DD-777!! Good luck to you!!

Wow!! very nice man. That must be an incredible park!

Thanks, relichunters!! It has been the most productive park on my list of over 80 parks I've hunted at the past year and a half!!

Now that's alot of silver!! Half Dollar, alot of quarters, Barber, Mercs, and add all those wheat cents and am sure the silver rings as well!! We all need a Park like that around and I hope you get 200 silver coins from that Park Dan!! Congrats

Thanks, Jack!! I'm not sure if I will get to 150 at this park. I've detected almost every flat area, in addition to some hillsides of the park. Now I will have to try the rest of the hillsides to see if there anything left.

Well very nice finds! Its also nice to see you also find cut coins, 1/2 quarters, 1/4 quarters (well it looks much like a 1/3 quarter) in the states, just like the hammered ones in England. Good luck with further searching, I know it must be hard on the ears, all that trash!

Thanks, Woody50. Yes, I find a lot of cut silver/bronze coins. The lawnmowers here are relentless.

WTG Dan,The only way that silver could look better is if it was on my table. Congrats on a great year !!!!

Thanks, Gary!! I'm sure you're amassing a big pile yourself by now!! ::) ::) Good luck on the remaining of your year!!
