Hello!
Got out today although I waisted a lot of time driving from school to school as they are getting ready for school starting next week so a lot of the play areas were freshly covered with a foot of new woodchips on the play areas. Too much/deep for my old detector so I don't even try. I was prepared and expected this and had a lot of schools on my list with directions. I got in 4 hours of detecting at two schools. It was another great day out there, a little slow, but I got some keepers as explained below. $7.42 in clad, 85 coins and a Mexican $1 peso.
I got a few keepers including a really nice 14K gold cross, found under a swing. A sterling 925 "S" pendant, found 5 inches from a steel play structure support pole. And at the opposite pole on the same structure I dug a sweet ring, 6 inches from the that pole, that at first I thought was a diamond wedding ring. A real heart stopper! It's not though as it's plated but the stones are amazing. They are CZ's I guess, but they sure have the ice look to them. I also got a small sterling hoop earring and a small heart that was deep and not tarnished so it may be silver? Also, a very cool find, the tiniest of gold crosses with a small diamond chip in it. It's like 1/4" tall and must have been on a very thin chain? I also got a nice blue gemstone bracelet but it's not sterling.
I also got a large assortment of fobs and junk jewelry including a huge gold screw on earring and another lot of beading silver links. All in all, a great day.
Happy hunting to you all. Thanks for reading!
