Got out this morning with my friend Kevin and started hunting a middle school . Well with in 15 minutes 3 games started so we left :BangHead: . We moved onto a elementary school that has given up a lot of gold and silver jewelery over the years . It didn't disappoint :headbang: . After only 10 minutes Kevin had a silver ring and a silver plated ring . I worked the far right side of the field and it payed off ! I found three wheat cents right away ! They are 1950S , 56D & 58D . Then a good half hour later I had a +6 at 4 inches , BAM GOLD :hello2:! It is a 14K gold ring with a .999 fine 24K gold Panda coin on it !!!! The one thing is I broke off the coin when I cleaned it :BangHead: . Not sure if this counts as my first gold coin ever but gold is gold ! The date on the coin is 1984 . Then Kevin found a nice 14K gold ring with the letter J on it . After all that I found two more rings . One gave my heart a jump when I saw it but it's just plated . The other one is a tiny wire type ring with a blue stone . They bring my totals to #78 for the year :icon_thumright: . The bracelet I found last night and it's just plated silver . The pendent is only aluminum . Total clad was $6.57 .

That is a VERY nice find indeed ! I'd love to see a pic of all the rings you've found since you started detecting !!

You asked and here it is . These are the silver rings on silver chains I have found and kept . Almost all the gold has been sold over the years . The jar is full of junk and plated rings .

How do you find all those good places Glen? Congrats on the Gold coinage! Need a good hunt still here going out this afternoon if I get my way, maybe something interesting at least will turn up.

Some schools just never end . This one that we hunted we have been digging the last 4 years ! The gold and silver just keeps coming !

Glen that is a very impressive stash ! Thank you for the pic - most of my rings came from school athletic fields , and city parks .

:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: and one for the gold coin :notworthy:!!!!!!!
Awesome as usual!

We're you using the MXT OR M6? Just comparing VID #'s on the gold.
I have tested mine on rings it comes up +8- +20 on small and med rings. When it gets up into the 30's, 40's and higher it's either a BIG gold ring or a screw cap....guess which I have a propensity to collect ! Lol! One of these days! I'll surprise my self!

I only use my MXT PRO now . My son uses the trusty M6 . I did notice that the VDI's are off by about +3 between the two machines .
