Went on a quick md'ing trip to a local soccer field w/totlot. I had just turned on and ground balanced, hit a couple of 26's (pull tabs) and then a 12 which usually means a piece of foil. 2 inches down and BLING a nice shiny little 14K pendant charm. I was still less than 10 feet from where I had parked and I was doing the gold dance. Swung the coil for another hour or so, and came up with a dime, penny, and two sports cars, well, matchbox anyway. This place must get pounded hard, it was really cleaned out. When I returned home I took the time to play with the camera a bit. It's not a fancy one, just a standard digital. The extreme close ups are the result of holding a jeweler's loupe in front of the lens and then focusing by watching the screen. They were taken at 7 MPixel. Downloaded, then brought up in standard MS Paint. Cropped by select, copy and paste into a new file. Then reduced by using "Stretch and Skew" by 25% vertical and horizontal. Worked out quite well.
Thank you for looking and happy digging!
