Dude at O'Reilly hands me my change and there is a dark dime with a womans face on it.I said WTH are you trying to pass off Canadian on me? He said, no its ours. Its called a Mercury dime and its made out of some strange metal. I said, Yeah thats trippy, you got more? Strange that he knew what it was called but had no clue why I bought all of the dimes in his drawer. Go Figure.

For the record, after I went through his dimes I did have him check the quarters and zip nada. I did get a worn out 1916 but not a D Cant complain. Turned a $1.7 into minimum $34 scrap in a couple minutes

Good thing for you I wasn't working there. When I worked at O'Reillys I always swapped out the silver. It wasn't that often but it did happen. Congrats on that score. Kinda whas hoping you had dug them..
