That ring looks like it was used for a seal. You know, like sealing a letter with wax and putting your personal seal on it... Just a thought...

Yes the ring is to make seal or sign papers,Most people could not write or sign their names, so the ring was also to sign.

In Norway we have to deliver all things Older then 1537 and all coins Older then 1650.
So this ring I can keep, While brooch must be submitted.

Not really legal unless you get a kind of permit from the Govt & hand in all the stuff you should. I believe its like Germany, if you are proved to be a bad detectorist you are banned from detecting. Good rules really.

Another great hunt with all the silvers and the awesome seal ring. The button mold (Crusader stated)is a unique find for sure, being made out of lead how would this work?
