Marconi Beach… would love to hear more about the Whydah project… hopefully something could be arranged for you to give a presentation (if not at the bbq, perhaps elsewhere else in the area!). Would you consider putting something together for a presentation perhaps at the McLarty Treasure Museum in Sebastian? I would be happy to discuss the idea with them if you’re interested.

OK, folks!! It's time!
I have started gathering up supplies and support for the Cookout.
Donations would be awesome, but your attendance is even better.
We will be having an auction and, as always, will split the proceeds with Michael Abt Jr Have a Heart Foundation. Donations to the auction can be brought to the Cookout and left at the auction table. A little provenance on auction items always helps, so please supply a card with the details on the donation if possible.
I'll be smoking 150-175 lbs of ribs. We can always use hamburger, hot dogs or sausages, buns, drinks, side dishes, and a few desserts. Seems like we often have sweets left over.
Setup will be the same as last year, big round tables and metal folding chairs. If you want something more comfy, bring it! Food will be under the shelter house. We will have Brad Brock supplying the tuneage and Sal Gutuso will be calling the auction.
If you have treasure hunting/metal detecting related merchandise, message me about setting up a booth. If it is not Treasure-related material, well... I don't want to devolve into yet another 'festival' designed to do nothing more than peddle trinkets to snowbirds.
Let me know if you're gonna show!! I want to see every damned one of you. Who knows which Cookout will be the last - or the last for someone that you wanted to meet or visit with!!
Our list of treasured members who have passed grows longer. Bob Moran, Carl Fismer passed recently and several others have crossed the bar in the recent past. This Coookout AND REUNION is so we can all enjoy the company of our friends and heroes while we have a chance.
No excuses!! THIS is the year to make your first one if you have been too shy to come out and slurp down some ribs.!

As far as I know, Europe still operates on the same Gregorian calendar that was adopted in 1582. If so...it is still on April 26th, 2025. People often arrive at 1030 or 11 AM EST, music starts about noon, lunch is served about 1230 PM and the auctions/raffles and other fundraising events are scheduled to occur at 230 PM or 3. Everyone is gone by 6 PM.
If a new Eurocalendar has been adopted, perhaps there is a time and date converter.
Either way, come to the party!
