15th Annual Treasure Hunters Cookout and Reunion -- APRIL 26th!

HI Bill; would like to set up a booth.
PG
Sure, but on booths - We are not desirous of making this into a "festival" . It's a cookout for people to get together, meet/greet and eat, raise money for our favorite charity and maybe have a cocktail. Soo....if you have treasure or treasure related stuff, booths are fine but be respectful of the limited area that we have for attendees and do NOT set up a tent in the best shade. Leave the deep shade for people. Tents go to the back edge of shade.

Speaking of the Cookout, on April 25th there will be a meeting for people interested in being subcontractors for Queen's Jewels for the 2025 season. If you are sincerely interested in being a subcontractor, you'll need a dig boat that is ready to go and a plan that will convince Queen's Jewels that you are going to get ooff the dock AND correctly file your paperwork and daily reports (turned in monthly). I do happen to have a dig boat (Carib) consigned for sale that needs no more than a good clean-up to be ready.. If you need more information, drop me a line and I can get you the particulars.
See you at the Cookout!!

Bill-

Well... the other shoe has dropped... I will not be able to make it again this year. I was asked to do a dive burial and memorial service at sea a few months ago, and I had agreed to dive the remains to the final reef rest...

Unfortunately, the service has been scheduled for Sunday the 27th...

Was looking forward to the annual gathering, but I can't go back on my word... you know how I am.

Maybe next year.

Alert!!! Alert!!! Alert!!!
I have been woefully remiss in my duties and have not solicited any donations for the auctions and raffles at the Cookout so I am going to ask The Universe (and you all) to help me out here. If you are coming to the Cookout and can either solicit some items for this fundraiser or bring something with you. If you can't be at the Cookout and still would like to either donate sale items, cash or whatever, we split the proceeds between the Michael Abt Jr. Have a Heart Foundation and the 15th Treasure Hunter's Cookout and Reunion. The Foundation supports heart screenings, education and Automated External Defibrillators for schools and the Cookout ...well...it's all run with donations,.
If you are coming to the Cookout, bring your stuff and some sort of something to eat or drink with the ribs, burgers and sausages. If you can't come and would still like to donate just send it to me at 12990 83rd Ave, Sebastian, FL 32958. Please.
🙂

We will be needing a couple of coolers of ice, a couple of cases or water, soft drinks, BYOB. I supply and cook the 175 lbs of ribs but could use some hamburger, sausages/hot dogs and buns. That kind of stuff would be awesome.
If you can helpp me with that stuff, let me know and remember...I appreciate every one of you!!!
Thanks!

Don't forget!!
No excuses!!

I would like to extend my heart felt thanks to everyone who helped put on the 15th Treasure Hunters Cookout and Reunion as well as the wonderful people that attended and particularly the folks who donated and made our little cookout and fundraiser for the Michael Abt Jr. Have a Heart Foundation into such a great success!! The Foundation will be able to do a lot of good with the dona@tions received over the course of the day!
I'm going to miss some folks, but here we go... Captain Tom, Cliif Reuter , new crewmember from Australia - Lloyd Asimus, Captain Bert Ammonst and Robyn Coleman, the One and Only Brad Brock, Thomas Roles, Curtis William Erling White, Russ Perras, the lovely and talented Andrew Tidball who flew in from Beach, ND, Sal Gutt auctioneer extraordinaire, Rob Johannsen, Michael Hutson, Jim Wilson, Marc and Connie Littleton! None of us would be here if not for Taffi Fisher Abt Michael Abt Nichole Johanson Melvin Abt and James Johanson !!
The list of people who donated to the auction and raffles is a long one but I would like to extend a special thanks to David S Crooks and Marc Littleton who were very generous with their auction items!!
Thanks again to all the bidders and buyers and raffle ticket holders as well.
More later, but I seem to be alittle bit tired....
All the best to each and every one of you! Let's do it again next year!!

Enjoyed watching the live, could almost smell the ribs through the screen. :coffee2:

OK...it is official...because I have already made the arrangements with the Pennwood.
April 25th, 2026. Just like yesterday but better!!
DO NOT say that you didn't have enough notice.
Write on the front of the refrigerator, the booze cabinet and the door to the head, then I KNOW that you won't forget!!
Kim at the Pennwood Motor Lodge messaged me and sent this:
"George Shioteks attended the bbq yesterday...actually he sold a few of his books he wrote. He came in today and wanted to know if anyone found his AT&T small hotspot that attaches to his phone."
Additionally - someone left an iPhone, call it to retrieve it if you haven't already. Bert Ammons has it for safekeeping.
Tom Gidus is searching for his blue and whiite cooler, last seen under the shelter house at 545 pm by me...
A HINT- Put your name on your stuff !!!!
Kim was very happy with us and has invited us back for next year and I accepted!
The Cookout has a date. April 25, 2026. Do NOT tell me that you did not have enough notice. 363 days, people! If you started getting ready today, it would not be too early.
See you there, people. If you didn't come this year...well..we have reunions so we can establish or re-establish connections with people. People cross the bar every damn year so if you miss this get-together you may miss a last visit with a friend or frenemy!!
