Thanks for all the great replies.

The owner of the land actually turned me onto this area as he thought he saw some bricks scattered in the dirt. its about 200 yards from where I had been finding the early to mid 1800's artifacts. an hours hunt yesterday gave up the buckle, but no other good signals.

Hopefully I can get back out there this weekend and go over the area pretty hard.
