1680 French Coin with Flying Saucer

I was recently made aware of a french coin from the year 1680 that shows what appears to be a flying saucer over a country field. I cannot seem to find anything about it. The UFO web site I got this from could not help. In particular, is it real or fake, how much would it cost if it was real, and where can I go to purchase it? I could not paste a picture of it below, but if you go to the address below you should be able to see it. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have the 1601-1700 Krause catalog of world coins. I'll do some looking this weekend and get back to you with an opinion and maybe a source for the coin. Any french specialist should be able to get it if it exists. Most of the copper coins aren't that expensive unless you demand an UNC specimen. exanimo, ss

I looked in the Krause catalog and none of the copper coins match the photo you posted. Most of the legal tender coins of that period had a head of a person or a coat of arms. In the case of france many had the fleur de lis. Thus you are looking for what we would call a token and europeans call jetons. If you will look in any issue of Coin World under foriegn coins you will see the ads from the mail bid and the fixed price dealers. Some of the bigger dealers that I've dealt with are in every issue ..... I can recommend A. Szago & Gammon among others. exanimo, ss

This is a jeton, not a coin. And as such I don't think it's very rare or in high demand. The thing in the sky is not a UFO--it is a SHIELD.
