Got up early and took my son detecting to I site I've hit a dozen times. Last two times didn't get anything but was going to try to find trash pit. We walked about a mile in the woods and was just about there and I was hunting the side of the hill beside the original road hoping they threw their trash towards the river. When I got a solid hit. Dug down about 6 inch and got a copper. I filled the hole and then decided to recheck it and got a broken up signal so just started digging deep when my son said what's that. I look over in the pile and see like 10 gren disk scattered in the pile. Think I went in shock then lol. My son reched in the hole and dug out another. I picked up one and could tell it was a kg11 then a kg 111 after that I just bagged them up then swung the coil again and got two more we missed. 16 total 1700s coins. And one flat button about a foot away. I'd say my coolest find yet. Never thought I'd find a cache but seeing post on here new it was possible. Starting to just clean them with a brush and know I got two Connecticuts and a 76 irish and a kg11 and a couple kg111. Have 4 I can't tell yet. What a morning still can't believe it.

Awesomeness...

Wow, what a hunt! Beautiful coins! Congratulations!

Need a good picture of them all together. May be banner worthy. Congrats on a great find

Wow. You just found about as many early coppers in one hole as Ive found all year. Congrats

Holy moly. Knowing the sandy area you are likely hunting those coins could be terrific condition too. Careful cleaning. I wouldn't use any liquid. Just brush them. Gotta see a picture of them brushed off. I agree this is likely a banner. I mean if a couple wheat pennies in a tin or wallet can get up there, this sure as heck would.

That's a nice find! Barely find even one copper in the woods her in Sweden...

Best group shot I could get

Fantastic hit there!

Legit banner, and great cross section of what would have been circulating in the late 1780s-early 90s. Likely a coin purse spill vs. cache. I would assume that if no leather remnants were found with the coins then it was a fabric purse that disintegrated.

A hearty congratulations on a once in a lifetime find!

Great coin finds! [emoji106]

Yep I'm voting banner on that find. Congrats again and thanks for posting the pic. Between you and toasted, you're cleaning up the coppers on the shore

i was saying yesterday i havnt got anything all year but one half reale this made up for it

What a tremendous discovery! I think I would be quaking in my boots when it became clear there was more than one copper in the hole. I can't imagine a more thrilling find. BIG CONGRATS!

looked for parts of a purse but couldnt find anything, they were all stacked on each other. 3 were still stuck together and marks on most where they were touching

boy I'd have to dig holes all day long at a great site for a chance at finding that many coppers of that age
you do it in one, that's an ace!
that's legendary!

The 2 kg11's. The bottom one is a lot smaller and has pointed nose and chin.
