Got up early and took my son detecting to I site I've hit a dozen times. Last two times didn't get anything but was going to try to find trash pit. We walked about a mile in the woods and was just about there and I was hunting the side of the hill beside the original road hoping they threw their trash towards the river. When I got a solid hit. Dug down about 6 inch and got a copper. I filled the hole and then decided to recheck it and got a broken up signal so just started digging deep when my son said what's that. I look over in the pile and see like 10 gren disk scattered in the pile. Think I went in shock then lol. My son reched in the hole and dug out another. I picked up one and could tell it was a kg11 then a kg 111 after that I just bagged them up then swung the coil again and got two more we missed. 16 total 1700s coins. And one flat button about a foot away. I'd say my coolest find yet. Never thought I'd find a cache but seeing post on here new it was possible. Starting to just clean them with a brush and know I got two Connecticuts and a 76 irish and a kg11 and a couple kg111. Have 4 I can't tell yet. What a morning still can't believe it.

WHAT A SCORE!!!!!!! CONGRATZ.....

Banner find, I bet your son will have a good show and tell at school eh? Congratulations.

WOW! So cool you and your son got to share this remarkable event together. This memory will be vividly burned into your mind for ever! Banner recovery if there ever was one I would say. Thanks for sharing such a cool recovery of all that 1700's treasure.:headbang:

That's a wild 1700 coin spill.
Congrats

Wow! First one like that I have seen here! I would be on cloud nine also. You have my vote as well !

Awesome find! So happy for you and your son!

Incredible! Congrats !

thanks everyone! was definitely a awesome unsuspected find for sure, and i though it was hunted out.

Congrats on the awesome spill of coppers. Banner worthy for sure, and they would make one great looking swivel display showing both sides off.

Banner find in my book.

That's sort of how my dream goes! :occasion14: Just once I would like to find several together.

For many (even in your area ) this find would be a lifetime achievement for coppers from the late 1700's ,so this is obviously Banner in my estimation ! Incredible find .

my dream is to find a revolutionary war camp. but this will do for now.
