So today I got a chance to get out to a permission field. The field has colonial era history and has been a farm up to now. I was able to dig a fresh plow area and pulled this 1737 KG and a 1864 Indian Head. Also a draw pull and some sort of other brass item that looks like a bowling pin..I D anyone?.I did electroysize the 1737 dont hate me anti electrolysis folks. Thanks for checking out my digs. Tony

Nice finds! That KG is in great shape. Congrats

Your drawer pull could be the screw that holds down the flint on a flint lock hammer.

Awesome KGII, I've never dug an old copper that had the copper look to it. Great job

It definitely didnt have that copper look out of the ground. That after 2 hrs of electrolysis.

The jaw screw and the drawer pull screw do look alike except the drawer screw has a hole in the ball for the handle.

Nice finds. You should check to see if the IH is an 1864L.

Spot on ID. That's exactly what it looks like! Nice finds.

I do love the green on the old coppers, but man you can't deny how awesome that KG came out!, it looks great, I would've done the same, great finds!

Nice day Mr Tony. Good detail on that copper.

That drawer pull is actually a jaw screw for a flintlock pistol, nice digs
Jaw screws for flintlocks were not made out of Brass. Jaw screws and drawer pulls look similar, but the material is the determining factor.

Nice detail on the KG and the IH. I believe you bowling pin piece is the finial for either a side plate or trigger guard. Another (remote) possibility is it is part of bayonet scabbard clip. Here are a couple pictures of colonial bayonet scabbard clips.

The Indian, is it copper or bronze?
