1749 Medal

[Silver Searcher]

At first I thought this was a coin, but later research reveled it to be a medal issued in Edinburgh Scotland, it dates 1749 and is in bronze they were also made in silver, and were issued by Jacobite sympathiseres. It is worth about £150 and double that for a silver, hope you enjoy the pictures

Thank's for your comments tim, some times you are lucky with how they come out , have a look at this my detecting partner found two weeks ago, and it's been in the ground over 1600 years

Never had a medal older than 1870s, never knew they existed in the 18th century, until now.

According to the link PBK provided, it seems to have a pretty good motto for a detectorist on it as well...
Nullum Non Movebo Lapidem ut illud adipiscar
"I will leave no stone unmoved to obtain it", pretty neat...
