I already started my 1700,s coin collection i will be doing over the winter months , i purchased this from a good honest coin dealer for a great price :hello2: it is a 1776 Russian Catherine the Great 5 Kopek,s it has her initials on the obverse , the coin measures 44mm diameter by 4.2mm thick and weighs 56.69 grams ,this coin is huge and in really good shape a lot of good detail on both sides , the first thing i did was take the coin to a expert 30 years under his belt in 5 minutes he said the coin is 100% genuine he would grade it at least AU50 circulated . I included a little history on this very fascinating woman plus a few photo,s . Enjoy Jim

That is an outstanding coin! I would enjoy finding one to add to my collection!

That is a beautiful coin. I love the patina and the irregular shape. :icon_thumright:

Very nice, I have one too, a 1766. The size of it is amazing! I think I paid $15 a few years ago for mine, I ave been thinking about getting a few more. Congrats on a nice coin.

Jumbo Copper, and a beauty too!
I think the only larger are Swedish plate money...
and I thought the 1797 tuppence were big :laughing7:

Beautiful coin,good luck with your 1700 collection.:icon_thumleft:
