Hello all!

I got out friday night and nabbed that KG II (Young George might be 1737)... and headed back to this site this am...

This site has been great for me... US Half Cent, Draped Bust LC, 1926 Matron Head US Large Cent, 6 Indians, 1902 Barber, 1950 Roosie, and a fist full of wheat backs...

So this am I was back just after the dew was drying up...

I got a few wheat back's early... Then is was fast back to back Merc's 1935 and 1937...

I had 3 wheat pennies and 2 merc's and was about to call it to head back for NFL kick off @ 1pm... I move over to near where I recoverd the 1864 Indian Head on friday night... and got a blip of a 12/42 signal burried on the 12" depth meter...

The red handle of the Lesche was under the edge of the hole... So that is 12+ inches... 14 inches ??

Anywho... Here it is...

The reverse... No so good... but look like Large US and Pointed Rays...

nothing special... Just a 80$ camers (Nikon CoolPix L19) holding them in my hand under a shop light... Set on Macro...

But thank you for noticing :-)

Paul

Some good players come out of New Castle, do you know Dennis Claroni (aka DC)? Also, Youngstown, Ohio is very strong. Pittsburgh is pretty weak, some decent players but not enough of them. I'm playing in a DYP at Carnegie Mellon University on Wednesday.

It appears this is a CROSBY 5-E. Very Scarce. I'm surprised no-one ID'd it yet. I'm 99% sure, but someone may correct me if I'm wrong.

Hogge, that is what I was thinking as well... I thought this would get a little more attention... but I figured perhaps these were more common that I thought... *shrug*

Thank you sir!
Paul

I think it's a tremendous colonial find! Don't see too many posted, and the ones that are, are in alot worse shape. Too bad it's a relatively "common" variety. My fall hunting has just started. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I'm NOT really happy unless I find a coin that has 1700 on it. GOOD LUCK! Hogge
