As a Vermont native, I'm extremely jealous that you found that coin. It's on my wish list. I'll vote banner for you on a rarely found coin, and to be in great shape(head's side anyway) is even more rare. Great coin! Great hunt! Hope to see it up top, but seems on this site you need to know a few of the "right" people to make the banner. Good luck!

The Vermont you found is a Ryder 13, made at Machins Mills NY. It's the second one I know of coming out of the ground in the last few weeks. Ryder wrote the original reference on the coinage in 1920. Great find!
