FIRST EVER LARGE CENT! FINALLY! ALSO SECOND TEDDY ROOSEVELT CAMPAIGN WATCH FOB I've found this year! The cent is toasted but I'm not complaining. I found NO other coins. Found these in a lot that has houses from the early 20th century. I'm sure the LC has been there way before any of the current buildings! Thanks again Etrac! LC.webpfobLC.webp

awesome!, i love the LC!

Congrats on the large cent.... and what are the odds of finding two watch fobs like that. Very nice!

Way to go! Nothing like your first large cent. Contrats! :icon_thumright:

Nice large cent a hot peroxide bath and some olive oilwould clean that coin up. Hh

Thanks but....actually peroxide will remove dirt, but there isn't any, it's clean, just corroded. I don't want to remove any more metal from it otherwise it will look dull & porous. It's as good as it's gonna get. I've heard that olive oil can seep out of these for years if you soak it in it for a long period and may cause it to corrode more.

Congrats on your 1st LC! 2 Teddy Roosevelt fobs? He must have been a popular figure in your area. Nice digs!

Those are two great finds! I think the Teddy fob is the star one though. At least, that's one that I haven't managed to dig yet.

Congrats!

Thanks, yeah I've dug three fobs so far this year. Two were the TR's and one was for Conklin Varnish which was in the shape of a varnish can. I've seen some of your posts: you've found some incredible stuff!

Yeah thought about seeing if he stopped here in Bloomington or something or maybe they were just being handed out en masse.
