Back at the 1790s court house site today. It was cold and the ground was pretty frozen so this is likely it for the year until spring.

Got a 1787 Connecticut Copper with enough details for identification. Unfortunately I nicked the back as I was chiseling through the soil. The homeowner has recently done some bulldozing and this coin was about 1/2" deep.

Besides this I came away with some flat buttons, a nice flower cuff link, a marked pewter spoon handle and what i believe is a broken shoe buckle tongue.

I'm up to 68 buttons from this site now....

Congrats on the great recoveries! Its a pain trying to get a target out of the ground when everything is frozen. I feel your pain.

Very Nice....and yes here in western NY its cold with plenty of snow. Is it Spring yet?

Congrats on the copper and other nice finds

Nice finds! Ground here is freezing hard real fast. I'm always concerned about damaging my target when I have to literally chisel it out of the ground (plus I am basically lazy and a too much of a wussy to go out when the temperature is in the teens anyway). More fun to surf TreasureNet.
