very awesome! congrats on both finds, you must be on cloud nine

Sweet! I never once found Spanish silver during the three years I lived in Maryland, though I recall that my friend found an 1803 1/2 R on a school playground that had mysterious pieces of 300 year old-looking brick coming out of the soil.

I assume you still at that old site, can't see it to well but looks a little more like 1799? Which ever, its a great find.

Awesome finds!! CRU, if you zoom in on it, you can see the tail on the bottom of the 2. I thought it was 1799 as well until I blew it up.

Holy Cow! Fantastic finds. I love both the coin and the cuff button. Eat quick and get back out there!!!!!

OK thanks, I'm on Dads PC at the moment & can't zoom in without it spooling forever.

Good score on the 2R and silver button...it doesn't get much better than that.

Regards + HH

Bill

A couple of my favorite items to find - great job! I have to say though that the silver cuff button is my favorite. Dug a similar one a couple years ago.

Very nice find. That is an awesome real! The silver button is nice too, but a real... wow. Congrats & good luck.

1792 for sure. Mexico City Mint, FM assayer's initials. Should weigh about 6.77g and contain 0.903 silver (0.1965 oz. ASW).
Great find !!
Don....

TWO real sweet finds! Be proud!

Great Soanish but that button is the find of the day. Great site you're on brother

That 2R will make anyone's day! The silver button would make someone's month! That is a sweet old piece of history

I agree with Abe...of course the Spanish is a super find, but the button almost appears to be either homemade or maybe the one side is just worn? That button is very, very nice. Congrats.

Sweet saves button king! Man I would love to be able to play in that dirt up there for a little while.

Congrats…no lack of Spanish being found..
