My first spanish silver. I think it is a 1 real not sure of the mint.
 

I've never found a truly old coin like yours, not even close to 1792! Awesome piece of history and I bet you were/are still excited. Out of curiosity which detector were you using?................63bkpkr

I was using the ATPRO it loves silver. I was a little to excited as I put a small nick in the coin with the lesche.
 

A lesche will do that, nicks as well as more. I usually use a brass probe and even it will mark a coin..........63bkpkr
 

What are the letters after REX?
BTW, to align properly, invert coin on right 180 degrees.

The letters after REX are ME.1R.I.J.
 

Nice one... congratulations. I found a 1792 half reale in SW Florida. Has a hole in it and believed to be worn and lost by a Seminole Indian.
