Bought this the other day and am trying to find out how to identify what variety the coin is.
It does have the lettered edge. Any input would be appreciated

Don't know what you paid for it, but it should be worth some good bucks! :icon_thumleft:

wow. nice coin!

Very very nice large cent

Nice coin. I agree with the S-75 designation. That is a scarce variety, which means 250 -- 500 are known to exsist. By the way, how mich did you pay for that coin?

Apparently I under paid, I based my price off a plain edge and didn't see the lettered edge until later. I was in at $40 or so since I bought a bunch of coins.
The seller will be happy when I go and give him more money.
I do appreciate all the help and input

I grade that coin as having Fine-12 details, net VG-08 due to the corrosion. That means this is a $400 coin! Since you paid only $40 for it, you can give the seller pretty much anything your heart desires, assuming it is genuine. You may want to get it checked out first.
