I found this coin last Tuesday in downtown Liberty Mo. I was really surprised how old it is!

Emperor JEN TSUNG
AD 1796-1820
Reign title: CHAI-CH'ING, AD 1796-1820

S-1489 (but no star), "BOO CIOWAN" (Board of Revenue mint). The manchurian mint name translates to Pao-Ch'uan, or "The Fountain head of the Currency"

Nice find lliebsch!

Congrats on your wonderfully old coin! :hello2::occasion18::notworthy: It would be fascinating to know the full story behind it & how long it was buried. HH Andi

Nice Find !!
That's an Emperor whose coinage I've not found.
Chinese coins were popular as jewelery and keepsakes in the Victorian era
with the opening of the China Trade.
Strange that regardless of how old, they seem to inspire little interest in MD forums :dontknow:
I like them :hello2: Congrats !!!
