I had some play time this weekend so I went back to one of my interesting sites. The site had tell tail signs of being burnt down.
This 1801 Large cent found on Sunday was deep in the ground amongst melted glass and ash. It was made with three errors. It should have a "1" over 100 not 1 over 0 0 0. It is also missing a stem over the fraction. The last error is the "U" in United States was stamped upside down and then re stamped. I can't tell if its a Sheldon 218 or 219, Can you? Too bad she was Burned Alive!
