Debated on whether to take a day off from detecting. But with so much ground left to cover I couldn't pass it up. Tried some scouting and got a Buffalo nickel (dateless), a wheat, and a couple of flat buttons. Also got a weird pin with someone's face. Any idea what that is??

Late in the hunt I got a deep signal in a new area. Dug a super deep plug again... maybe 10 inches, and saw a wonderful big disc come out. Could see the design immediately and that it was a Draped Bust Large Cent!

Sorry. I have no clue on the spoon but I did watch a whole bunch Li'l Rascals and Our Gang on TV when I was a kid.

Alright thats awesome! That is now on my list!

Wonderful LC. Congratulations!

Took a junky pic of the last three to come out of this place. The soil was surprisingly kind to them!

Looks like a good day out. Love the draped bust.

Another great looking Draped Bust being found lately! Yours is a Sheldon 233 variety, determined by where the leaf points to the letter D in UNITED on the Reverse. Also the letters ME in AMERICA are joined at the base. http://www.largecents.net/collection/coinpics/s233.jpg. Yours has much better detail than the one on the attached link.
