Debated on whether to take a day off from detecting. But with so much ground left to cover I couldn't pass it up. Tried some scouting and got a Buffalo nickel (dateless), a wheat, and a couple of flat buttons. Also got a weird pin with someone's face. Any idea what that is??

Late in the hunt I got a deep signal in a new area. Dug a super deep plug again... maybe 10 inches, and saw a wonderful big disc come out. Could see the design immediately and that it was a Draped Bust Large Cent!

Wow, 212 years old and in that kind of shape. Just amazing what some people find !!!

That's an awesome coin congrats. Can't believe it's condition. The few real good finds I've dug out of our NH soil is always super toasted. Nice find

No kidding! Most of the coppers here in NH are green blobs when they come out. Every once in a while you get lucky to find some gentle soil, but that's few and far between! I certainly appreciate these bad boys

That large cent is freakin AMAZING! I wish we had stuff like that up here in the Pacific Northwest, but alas this area just isn't old enough. This site just keeps amazing me every single day, thank you so much for sharing your finds.
