Went out to woods behind fields i have permission at. Acres and acres of woods. Figured id see if it was frozen or not. Mostly not frozen which was superb as ive never even attempted the woods before. Ended up finding a bunch of shells. 1802 large cent. Buckle. Mutilated dandy button. Ornate flat button. Was a lot of fun. 7FA6CCE7-94F4-4643-A186-89538A5D206D.webpC7F94208-8C7A-43F5-9B1E-88A3B0FAA85E.webp4024862B-F7AE-4D79-8DBD-8134335469A2.webp

too cold for me but awesome finds

Hi, nice finds Congrats:icon_thumright:

Nice finds! The woods usually dont freeze over as fast as the leaf cover protects the dirt for a bit until the temps drop & stay low for several days.

Love that coin. The soil seems especially tough on coppers in Massachusetts, so you really have a great find there. Congrats!

Looks like you have a new area to hunt. I love the old woods! Congrats on the old LC and buttons!

Great find. Burr!

Love the old coppers, congrats! :occasion14:
