1816 George III sixpence

[top pop top]

Hi all,

I found my oldest coin to date on Friday. Last week i found a 1848 large cent and i thought that it was going to be about the oldest coin in California i was going to find but i was wrong. I hit the same spot i found the large cent and out pops a coin that reads 1816, but did not know what it was. I also got a 1917s merc and two wheats. I got home and looked up the coin on the computer and it is from the U.K,1816 George III sixpence.

Thanks for looking.
