1825 Militia Officers Buckle

Found this rare tongue on sunday at a civil war/colonial site in Hampton VA, about 9 inches down under countless roots. Luckily I did not destroy it with my Lesche. Thanks for looking.

Great buckle! What you have is a Confederate officers buckle. 1861-1865. Great luck on finding both sides!
