Hello everyone. Just got back off the road from Miami Florida and it was quite hot and hummid down there as one would expect. However, the same cannot be said for Ohio. Feels more like fall. 50's last night and 60's and some rain showers today. What happened to summer :dontknow:

Had to get a hunt in so I oppted to go pound the McDonald homesite that I have litterally hundreds of hours swigging the large property. I still manage to squeeze out an IH once in a while and today was another day. I am at 16 now from this property. I have also found 2 semi-key dates in the last 2 months. You just never know what will come out of this old property when you dig. Today was one of those days. This place has given me lots of relics and IH's but no old silver that one could expect to find at such an old place. I have only found one merc there. It has also given me 3 LC's too. Oldest being an 1852

I managed to dig a newer seated dime, my second this year. I didn't know they made them for so many years until I read the date. I also mangaged to scratch the back while trying to find it. :-[

I have recently focused my attention to the far side of the property as I haven't pounded it hard enough as I have the property closer to the front and sides of the house.

I also dug another IH..... an 1880 greenie that is worn smoothe. I also dug several old shot shell bottoms and a small caliber brass type :dontknow:. Also dug a piece of copper and some kind of brass loop.

While on the way to Woodstock I saw a Turkey who wasn't afraid of me even after I stopped and grabbed my camera. He thought he was king of this newley cut wheat field. I could have taken it with a 22 so easily. :o

Thanks for looking and have a safe end of the weekend. Ron

Nice digs - looks like a great place to hunt!

Congrats on the find. I agree I would have had that turkey in the freezer so fast.

Dave :coffee2:

Great finds for sure! I have to get that larger coil for my 250! It seems that the 250 is very accurate with pinpointing until it detects silver. It always seems a bit off on my machine so I try and adjust, then dig.

Nice finds with the ace! I would work on the pinpointing before you booger an expensive coin. :tongue3: I bet you still have plenty of targets out there. 8)

Congrats Ron! You are on a roll keep it up
