It's been a lil bit since I have been able to get out. The street tear out I have been hunting has moved along quite a bit and some new holes have been dug along with fresh dirt piles from deeper depths next to them. So I went out tonight and hit a good number of items, one of which was completely unexpected and made my month! I hit a couple of rosies, 46 & 63. It was nice digging some silver again. Another flat button, very small, from 1820-1830, a snap button rivet from france, a cool looking valve (not sure what to), my wifes favorite a bunny rabbit buckle prob off suspenders or a backpack, one of my favorites was the antique metal pencil sharpener, a copper arrow head button or something worn on clothes (would appreciate any help with an ID on this item), and a brass bushel tag like used to be put on cotton bushels once bundled up (there used to be a very large green house/garden center here in the 1800's). And lastly, my most exciting find ever...an 1852 silver 3cent piece!!! I've never seen one let alone held one! At first I thought it was a foreign coin of some sort until I saw the United States of America on it (I freaked out a bit, I admit it!!!) Anyway, 3 silvers and a bunch of really cool relics, not shabby for a few hours of swinging. I'm gonna be pretty sad when this street is finally done, but there will always be more to dig!! Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Ah the old trime! Awesome digs and those 3 centers are not easy to find

Dude! Awesome! :headbang: Did I not tell you that there were a number of those found the last tear out in that neighborhood?! How did that ring in on the Garrett? I have only found those with my Whites.

Congrats on the 3 cent silver, that is another one that many diggers will just not dig up.
I was very happy to unearth one a couple years ago. You should be happy with that one.

Congrats on the finds, especially the 3 cent silver. Hard to come by, have only found two in 40 plus years of detecting.

Some great finds

felt the same when I got my '52 TRIME, have it listed on ebay, user name-ulster-relic. the valve is similar to a "T" gas lamp assembly I sold on ebay, that one had the 2 shut-off valves.IMG_1035.webpIMG_1036.webpGREAT SAVES. now if we could only find that OTHER US coin that is smaller than a Trime

You sure did tell me!! I couldnt believe it when It popped out and what you had said started ringing in my head and I laughed out loud! It rang in between dime and quarter, pretty strong signal because it was only 2-3" down in a pile of cast off dirt from a 7' hole dug for a water line. You been able to get out since we met?

Very nice! I went to the historical society today and it was closed. But i noticed they are getting ready to tear up the cobblestone street at the train station! Hope i can time it right. The historical society/museum are located in the oldest house in our city. Hope i have luck as good as yours. Nice find and HH.

Nice, I want to find a trime, I missed an golden opportunity last summer on a sidewalk tearout in my town. Good luck to you stay with it.

Went out Sunday to a favorite park of mine but struck out. Trying out a new detector and still learning it. Did manage to pull that ring and a few coins out of my yard with the new detector...so maybe some good things to come. Often get out on the weekends...not as much during the week. So keep your eyes open for me on the tear out Saturday/Sunday. When that gets done maybe we can find another to work on.
