Was going through the large pile of Italian coins I found awhile back as part of my "Epic Dream Find" hoard and was amazed to find this mixed in with the lot!
It looked almost exactly the same as the copper Italian coins but it's not Italian, it's French! An 1855 Emperor Napoleon III 10 Centimes Copper! What a sweet surprise!
The history is just exploding out of this coin and into my soul
I can't believe I missed it for so long, the oldest coin in the hoard!
Now I'm off to research more about the Second French Empire!
