I found this today in a 1860's Eastern California mining camp. Does anyone have any idea the manufacturer? And approximate year?

Holy smokes thats cool didnt know they made those in 1860 that one is in better shape than all the recent ones Ive found I bet it will clean up nice.....stay safe out there.......Tommy

Hmmm.... Nice finds, that ruler looks like a double scale stainless steel possibly 12", not sure of the manufacturer/age
