Nice coin. Found metal detecting? In North America?
It seems to read "FARTHING" on the reverse but appears to be as large as a penny.

No — a relatively small island near India. Over here, detecting means beaches for most people. If you head into forests, fields, or mountains, you’re seen as crazy. Honestly, I’ve yet to meet another detectorist doing that — seems I’m the only one so far.
