1871 Shield Nickle and a few relics

I met with TnT2000, MarkG, and JohnnyMc and we went to one of our spots that has been very productive. It has been hunted so hard that there are not many signals left so I decided to try relic mode on the XLT. I was able to get a Shield nickle that looks new on one side but is very worn on the shield side. With a magnifying glass I was able to get the date 1871 (a semi-key date) although this one is probably too worn to be worth anything. I also got a button with a person on a bicycle, and a small brooch.
It was fun getting out with the "Cleaning Crew" because after we leave a site it is pretty clean. I'm sure there are a few more items to be found there, but it is getting VERY Hard to find stuff there.

Real nice shield Ken! I told John on the way there- someone will squeak something out. "cleaning crew" is a good one, but I was always fond of "the wrecking crew" myself. A spot never looks the same after we leave because of all the logs, branches and rocks we move around! Those old hot spots are pretty "clean" though!

"Cleaning crew" I kinda like it...he he you are right tho, I have to keep checking my machine to make sure it is working...

.... Love the button and the shield well lets not go there...he he only kidding..nice job..

considering we mostly hunt woods we do pretty good...and yes markG we move some stuff around in there, but that's how you find those stubborn coins....The wrecking crew...he he...

Real nice shield Ken! That is something to be real proud about. It is guys like you that keep me going. I love this hobby and think it is one of the most addictive and relaxing ones that I have every become involved in.
