I had a great time Saturday with my buddy Chris searching for history. The first part of the day we attempted to find my 6th great grandfather's home site which dates back to the Revolution. We found what we believe to be a barn or outbuilding. Every nail we dug was an 18th century rosehead (hand forged). We didn't locate the house yet but we are getting close. My best find from there was the 1876 Carson City seated dime. A also found a padlock, 2 buttons, a thinmble & a decorative piece. We ended the day at a place I've been to many times. I found a new area that has been producing colonial relics & found a few things. Chris had the best find from this site with a King George II half penny. It was a pretty day, sad that relic season is almost over! It's been a good one though! seated.webpbutt.webppadlock.webpmisc.webpdoor.webp

Nice relics and congrats on that CC Seated!

Great CC. I lived in CC for about 6 months. I hunted my old yards but, never found a CC. Carson City is a great, small city I would move back there in a snap!

Excellent hunt
Congrats

Always like finding CC silver, well done!

Like your finds display, did you use a scanner to image them or how did you get the transparent background?

HH,
Cal

That's something I really miss. Finding some of the "odder" mint marks..."CC" "O" etc. Back when I started they showed from time to time. Haven't found one in quite a few years now.

Nice!

I use my iPhone, take the pics on a white sheet of paper & adjust the levels in photoshop. Thanks!
