1876 LIBERTY SEATED DIME

[Conito@55]

Today we explored a new place. And this is what I found.

These pieces, I believe, are silver.

Nice finds.

[ToddsPoint]

Nice! Does it have the CC mint mark?

[jewelerguy]

nice batch of finds!

[Almy]

I like all the finds but particularly the old complete cartridge, bullet and cartridge case. It would be interesting to know their calibers.

There's a Carson City on my list, but unfortunately, this one doesn't have it.

I don't know the caliber. I don't see any markings on them.

I'm always amazed how you can sniff out those seated dimes like that!
I forgot to ask that day, does the Timex still work?

[Silvermonkey]

That is one beautiful seated dime. Congrats on finding some old silver and all of your other goodies.

The ornate silver colored items are, I believe, funerary items attached either to a coffin or metal grave marker. the copper rosettes may also be similar items. I maintain a rural cemetery dating to 1854 and have found similar embellishments. I am surprised you have not found a coffin handle or name plate.
