met with Nonickels today, we hunted an 1877 church, it looked SO GOOD........sure didn't pan out......but that is how it goes sometimes.....it was a 1917 day for me..........1917 merc, 1917 wheat x 2, and 1916 wheat. This place must of been hunted sure was quiet. I found the ring at an old school we stopped at.

very cool finds.. 4 1917 coins are not bad!! I wonder what that ring is from..

Great looking finds man . . . funny how those coins are all so close in date :icon_scratch: Pocket spill perhaps?
I love the airplane ring, looks like it might have belonged to a pilot.
What's it made of copper, brass or cold painted cast iron?

I think it is plated over copper because it rang up jus like a wheat penny, and coins were not even close, so not a pocket spill

I have no idea what it is or where it is from, but I like it!

That ring is really gorgeous :o! I seriously think that if it was cleaned up properly and had some type of provence included (or at least a good made up story on how old it is and who might have owned it :laughing7:) that it would sell well in a specialized auction. Congrats once again!

That ring is awesome!

I'd be happier finding that than an old common silver dollar!
I spent 13 years in aerospace.

That ring would be highly prized, if I owned it.

Good job!

Jim

Nice ring and nice merc.....Matt

looking good to me!!!!!!!!!!! MR TUFF

Nice finds. That ring is awesome. I have seen that design before. I believe it is a Yankee Clipper flying boat and the background is the earth or globe. The planes were used in the 1930's and were used all around the world. Especially in the Pacific and both coasts of the US and Panama region.
