It looks like the 7 is protruding from the bottom of the 8 and I think I see the faint cud mark along the edge by United but to worn for my eyes. . rick, I think you just described me, I don't get the 8 part though. Footballman, I THINK I see what your asking about, but there are other fella's who know their stuff on the Forum, perhaps a coin dealer? they could tell you yes or no.

No problem I just thought they might be able to give you better answers, also check out coin roll hunting there are guys there who know there stuff.

Is very hard to tell on a dug coin whether or not it has this error. I can't tell you how many times I have stared at the ones I have found. The seven is very subtle most of the time. I would not give up it still could be.
