been quite awhile for me since posting here. Have been rather busy on several
big projects and have only been out MD'ing 4 times this year so far.
Found something worth posting this weekend. Got a 1897 barber quarter at
about 6-8" mark in ground. Reason I'm not sure is because coin was on edge.
I hit edge with my digging tool and put a small scratch on face. Out of
practice with these on edge coins... I guess. Anyways it was good to see
a silver coin made 108 years ago come out of the ground. Surprised me where
I found it - right on a well worn path where I know many detectors have
passed right over - perhaps a shade too fast.
also found this merc dime 1918 in the woods near a bottle dump site.
My posting will probably be limited until after the summer. If I find something
good - I'll post it. Good luck all and HH!
